Soul City Families

Soul City desires to partner with families to provide a child/student centered experience that is safe physically, emotionally & spiritually, fun, and presents a God centered approach to the Bible. We want each child and student to be known by adult leaders who see them, care for them and encourage exploration and curiosity about who God is.

Kids FAQ

The closest entrances to our Soul City Families check in area are doors B & C in the front of the building off Adams St, or door H out of our parking deck. Any of our team members at the doors will be happy to point you toward our Family Connections desk on the first floor west side of the building – this is where you’ll check in your kids!

We want checking into Soul City Kids to be as simple and stress-free as possible. When you arrive, you’ll enter your phone number into one of our self check-in kiosks at the Family Connections desk and select who you’d like to check in. Our system will then print a sticker name tag for each child along with a security tag to be retained by the adult for verification at pick up. If you get stuck, don’t worry! We have a super team ready to help or answer any questions you may have. First time at Soul City? You can pre-register your kids HERE to be able to use self check-in when you arrive, or a member of our Family Connections team would be happy to help you get set up in person on your first Sunday!

We believe in transformation as a lifelong journey! Soul City Kids welcomes children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. Upon completion of 5th grade, Soul City Students programs are available for students through 12th grade.

For our preschoolers & elementary students, each Sunday includes free time to play and connect with our caring leaders, a large group curriculum that is based around a story from the Bible, and a small group time for them to interact with the lesson. There may even be a craft included. For our littlest Soul City Kids, their time is spent being held, rocked or exploring some fun, age-appropriate toys.

Our team is top-notch – they love kids and believe in the power of a strong faith community to make a lasting impact on childrens’ lives! And because we take safety seriously – we interview, background check, and train all of our volunteers before they start leading so you can know your kids are in great hands while at Soul City Kids.

At Soul City, it’s our desire that parents would want to raise their children to know Jesus and we mark that significant moment through a Family Dedication experience that happens typically on a Saturday morning. While some churches practice infant baptism, Soul City’s practice is to wait until a child is of an age (usually around 12) to make a decision on their own that they want to follow Jesus and be baptized. As parents, we can help point our children to Jesus, but they are the ones to decide if they will commit their lives to Him (Romans 10:9). Any instance of baptism follows a person’s decision to trust Jesus for his or her salvation and commitment to follow Him (Acts 10:47-48). Once a child is old enough to understand and make this decision on their own, we celebrate and walk them through a process to prepare for baptism. If you are interested in family dedication, you can email us at kids@soulcitychurch.com

Please complete this FORM to help us serve you and your family intentionally through this transition season.

If your child is a diverse learner or requires accommodations due to a disability, we’d love to have a conversation with you about it.  You can connect with an accessibility specialist by emailing accessiblity@soulcitychurch.com.

Once you check your kid(s) in at Soul City Kids, you’re automatically added to our email list to get periodic updates and relevant content from our team to help you lead your family and your kids into a transforming relationship with Jesus. To join the list manually, click HERE,

Students FAQ

We believe in transformation as a lifelong journey! Soul City Students welcomes students 6th grade through 12th grade. We have a weekly group for Middle (6th-8th) and High (9th-12th) on Sunday mornings at our 10:00a gathering. Additionally High School Sunday Nights are offered for Students 9th-12th grade at 5:30p on Sunday evenings.

Yes! We have both Winter & Summer Camp. Winter Camp is in January/February while Summer is in July/August. Our Middle and High groups go to separate camps.

We have a team of amazing adult volunteers who serve our students, all led by our Student Coordinator – Maya Haskins. This team believes every student should be known by a caring adult outside of their home throughout their teen years! And because we take safety seriously – we interview, background check, and train all of our volunteers before they start leading so you can know your students are in great hands while in Soul City Students.

For Sunday mornings we have a check-in station for our Middle group on the first floor in our Family Ministry lobby. To expedite your first time checking in you can fill out THIS form before arriving. Our High group does not have a check in on Sunday morning. On your first Sunday, you can meet us in our student section on the first floor starting 15 minutes before the gathering starts or on the third floor in the seats in our student section there. To receive information about upcoming Students events and camps join our parent email list.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.

Don't Miss Anything.
