Community Care

Community Care exists to embody radical hospitality, meeting people in need with compassion, practical support, and genuine relationships – in our church, our city, and around the world – so that every person encounters the tangible love of Jesus and a community where they are seen, supported, and known.

We long to be a church that does more for our community than we take from it, a church rooted in our city and connected to the world – walking humbly, learning continually, and joining God’s work of love, justice, and restoration.

Community Care is love in action – the everyday work of transforming compassion into connection and hope into healing.

House of Hope

House of Hope is where care begins.

We walk alongside people when life gets hard by listening, praying, and equipping others with access to both spiritual and practical support. Through one-on-one Care Sessions, we provide safe spaces to process pain, explore next steps, and find hope again. We also provide connection to tangible support through resources like groceries, household essentials, counseling referrals, and community programs so no one has to navigate life alone.

Partnerships

Partnerships extend care beyond our walls into the city and across the globe.

We stand alongside schools, organizations, churches, and communities both in Chicago and around the world as we seek to strengthen what already exists, celebrate local assets, and learn from trusted leaders who are creating lasting impact. Our goal is not to do for, but to do with – to listen, learn, and labor together towards the flourishing of our communities.

Our Hope

We envision a church where care is culture, where every person knows that love looks like listening, that compassion is expressed through action, and that hope is something we share.

Community Care is our way of saying: you are not alone, and your story is worth showing up for.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.
