DIVE DEEPER SCRIPTURE

Lectio Divina is an ancient practice of meditating on the words of Scripture. In this practice, you will read a passage of Scripture (Psalm 46) multiple times. Each time, leave 2-3 minutes in between readings to reflect with the corresponding intentions listed below.

Read Psalm 46 out loud, slowly. Listen for a word or phrase that sticks out or grabs your attention. Then, take a minute or two to breathe. Allow that word or phrase to rest in your mind and heart

Read Psalm 46 again. Still slowly. Then, take a moment and ask yourself, “How does this passage apply to my life?” “What does it have to say about my current circumstances?”

Read Psalm 46 out loud one more time. This time, ask yourself “What should be my response to this word from God?” “How can I walk and live differently because of what I’ve read today?” Don’t be afraid to get specific.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.
