Care for the Holidays

There’s room for you this holiday season.

The holidays can hold a lot at once: gratitude and grief, celebration and stress, generosity and need.

This season, Community Care is creating ways for our Soul City community to care for one another and our city. Whether you could use some extra support, want to show up for our neighbors, or simply need a little space for what this season holds, there’s a place for you here.

Receive Care

You don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Sometimes the holidays come with a little more than we have capacity for. If some practical support would make this season lighter for you or your family, we’d love to come alongside you.

Christmas Store

Christmas Store is designed to create a joyful, dignifying Christmas experience for families in our community. Participating families are invited to choose gifts for their children, while kids get the chance to choose something special for the adults they love, too.

Give Care

There are so many ways to show up.

You don’t have to solve everything to make a meaningful difference. Sometimes care looks like packing a box, welcoming a family, serving alongside one of our partners, wrapping a gift, or simply helping someone feel seen.

Christmas Store

It takes a whole community to make Christmas Store happen.

Join us as we create an experience full of hospitality, dignity, joy, and a little Christmas magic for our neighbor families. There will be opportunities to serve before, during, and around Christmas Store.

Make Space

Christmas can be both.

Beautiful and difficult. Joyful and complicated. Full and lonely. Hopeful and heavy.

You don’t have to choose one.

Both/And Christmas

Both/And Christmas is a gentle, low-pressure gathering for whatever this season holds.

Through worship, reflection, prayer, and moments of response, we’ll make room for the joy and grief, hope and disappointment, celebration and longing that can exist side by side at Christmas.

Come exactly as you are. There’s nothing you need to prepare, explain, or fix.

Not sure where to begin?

That’s okay.

You might receive care in one part of this season and give it in another. You might come ready to serve and discover that you need some care yourself. You might simply need somewhere to bring what you’re carrying.

All of it belongs here.

If you’re not sure what your next step is, House of Hope would be glad to help you find it.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.
