Serve Our City

We partner with local institutions to put transformation in action, outside the walls of Soul City. There’s a place for you in the work God is already doing in our neighborhoods. Check out our current serving events and sign up.

Serving Opportunities

Here’s where you can step in. Each opportunity below has a brief description, the partner organization, and a way to sign up.

Breakthrough Manna Serve Team

Through Breakthrough’s Manna Meal Program, Soul City volunteers prepare and serve hot meals at Breakthrough’s men’s and women’s shelters. This is a simple and meaningful way to extend dignity, hospitality, and care to neighbors experiencing homelessness.

New Life Centers

New Life Centers connects young people and families with Christ and community through life-on-life relationships. Their work supports neighborhoods across Chicago through mentoring, food access, youth development, restorative justice, and community care.

Brown STEM Elementary School

Brown STEM Elementary is a long-standing neighborhood partner of Soul City. Together, we come alongside students, families, teachers, and staff through school-based support, special events, and relational care throughout the year. This partnership helps us invest in the next generation right here in our city.

Prison Fellowship

Prison Fellowship serves people impacted by incarceration through a restorative approach to prison ministry, supporting those inside correctional facilities and families outside the walls. Soul City partners with Prison Fellowship to bring hope, dignity, prayer, encouragement, and care to individuals and families impacted by incarceration.

The Night Ministry

The Night Ministry serves Chicagoans who are unhoused or experiencing poverty by offering human connection, housing support, and health care. Soul City partners with The Night Ministry through practical care projects that help meet immediate needs while reminding our neighbors they are seen and valued.

Safe Families PLUS

Safe Families PLUS is a mentorship program that supports youth connected to the child welfare system as they prepare for adulthood. Mentors walk alongside young people navigating foster care, independent living, and major life transitions so they do not have to navigate adulthood alone.

Naomi’s House

Naomi’s House provides hope and healing for women who have survived commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. Through residential care, counseling, community, and practical support, Naomi’s House creates space for women to rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and a fresh start.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.

Don't Miss Anything.
