Questions

Where do you feel like you are wandering in your life right now?

God’s name is consistency. How have you experienced the consistent presence, love, or care of God in your life recently?

“I’m wandering, but he’s with me”. How does the promise that God with you in the wilderness change the way you walk through it?

Prayer

God, you are consistent.
You are the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

God, you are with me.
You were with me yesterday.
You are with me today.
And you will be with me tomorrow.

In my wandering, I trust that you are with me.
In my confusion, I trust that you are with me.
In my doubts, I trust that you are with me.
Even when I can’t see you, I trust that you are with me.
In every step of this journey, I trust that you are with me.

You are with me in this wilderness.

Thank you, God. Amen.

JOURNALING EXERCISE

God gives a consistent promise of his Presence to his people. That does not mean that we will never encounter wilderness type seasons, but it does mean that he promises to be with us in that wilderness. Below, you will find a short journaling prompt meant to remind you of God’s consistent Presence…

PART I
Make a list of all the difficulties you have walked through this year. Write each difficulty down on a new line.

PART II
Now, go back through each difficulty and write onto the end of each line…”and God is with me”. Allow the practice of writing this phrase over and over to serve as a reminder of God’s Presence with you in every moment.

Hey Soul City!

A quick message for those joining us in person this weekend:

Recently, the CDC shared new guidelines for wearing face masks in public and in indoor settings to promote safety in areas with substantial risks of transmission. Therefore, we are requiring that masks are worn while in the building on Sundays.

We are continuously reviewing the CDC guidelines and what our next steps will be – as your safety remains our priority.
